Solid and reliable. As I comment on the APS front flipup sight, teh alloy is a bit on the soft side and can snap easily. However, its not an issue on this rear sight because the site is of adequate thickness. Thats not to say it probably still cant be snapped but its going to require a bit more force than teh friont sight which snaped too easily.
